Job Duties, including but not limited to:

Perform a full range of medical services for all age groups to include the ability and experience to adequately diagnose and treat urgent, acute, chronic diseases and injuries and manage complex medical problems including but not limited to: skin; head; eyes; ears; nose; throat; neck; cardiovascular system; pulmonary system; gastrointestinal system; musculoskeletal system; genitourinary system; reproductive system; lymphopoietic system; nervous system; endocrine system and psychological system.
Assess patient’s medical conditions, diagnose, plan therapy and prescribe medications appropriate for the diagnosis to include ordering and evaluating laboratory test, ordering and evaluating imaging studies, and providing for follow –up or referral care. Shall become familiar with Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) formulary. Contract providers authorized to prescribe pharmaceuticals shall do so according to the availability of drugs listed therein and follow the procedures of the MTF when prescribing drugs.
Consult with a physician when patients return with the same unresolved complaint twice in a single episode of care.  Serve as primary care manager for the medical management of patients with a panel of up to 900 - 1500 patients. Ability to react with alertness and skill in any emergency situation, e.g., cardiac or respiratory arrest, hemorrhage, shock, severe physical trauma and psychiatric reaction. Serves as a member of resuscitation team.Possess knowledge of the pharmacology of most commonly used emergency drugs, anticipated results, usual dosages and their locations on the crash cart.  Administer medications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Physician Assistant:

Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).

Nurse Practitioner:

Master's degree or above from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

  Candidates must have the following experience:

Must have one year in the last two years working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Security:

Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and a criminal background check will be conducted

Must be US Citizen

Must have reliable transportation to and from work site

License/Certification and Training:

Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in any US state, territory, or District of Columbia
Board certification:

Physician Assistant: National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Nurse Practitioner: Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties).

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) from American Heart Association
